2. Next stage, taking it beyond 90°from flat. -

17. Cutting open the mouth with a jeweler's saw. After all, this is to be a teapot, so it has to have a spout. -
19. Pushing down on the lip to curl it downward more and make more of an opening. -
21. How it looks so far. You can see light shining through the mouth opening. He has no upper lip; this is a caricature after all. -
20. Here the mouth has been silver-soldered some on both sides to limit the opening to the middle. -
22. I have filled it up with microcrystalline wax (you cane see it, the brown filling up the mouth opening. I'm now starting the fine detailing using chasing tools. -
