- 22. I have filled it up with microcrystalline wax (you cane see it, the brown filling up the mouth opening. I'm now starting the fine detailing using chasing tools.
- 25. Looking good, ready to empty out the wax and move on.
- 39. Gone full circle, getting the seam closed up.
- 8. Annealing for the umpteenth time.
- 31. More forming of the cone.
- 23. Working on the crease in the cheek.
- 41. Doing the final planishing.
- 42. more final planishing, using a hammer that fits the curve.
- 44. Raising a ring. This is the first time I've ever tried this, so I don't know if it will work.
- 43. now another phase of the project. Here's a piece of brass sheet cut out and annealed.
- 6. Heavy planishing on the chin area formed in the previous step.
- 45. Continuing with the raising, so far so good.
- 54. The piece of brass cut out, it's now being shaped on a ball stake.
- 53. The masking tape is now a pattern.
- 57. Using a planishing hammer, pushing in the bulges to make it more spherical.
