- 1. A blank of 16 gauge brass, with guidelines drawn on it.
- 1. A new tool I made to form the back of the fish, and using it in the hydraulic press.
- 1. Clay model, used to derive patterns for cutting out metal shapes. It doesn't have to be perfect, just the right shape.
- 1. First six stages of raising. The middle picture shows heating the metal to anneal it, a process which was done between each of the six stages.
- 1. I started with a 10" disc of 16 gauge brass. Here it is after the first stage of raising.
- 1. I started with this scrap of 16 gauge copper sheet, about 28" long, and no preconceived design in mind.
